HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY

I have been hearing Children are leaders of
tomorrow, since I was a child and now I'm a
grown man, people who were leaders when I
was a child, are still leaders now that I'm
grown, so I'm wondering when children of
my generation will become Leaders?
Buhari was Nigeria's president as at the time I was born, today he is killing himself to get back to Aso-rock , I'm shaking my head. how are we leaders of tomorrow, when leaders of yesterday are yet to bow out, when they are yet to exit the centre stage, carrying pot bellies here and there, parading stolen funds everywhere they go.
Dear children, please don't believe them when they say you guys are the leaders of tomorrow,
That was the same thing they told me, the generation of my father has killed this country and the dreams of the Nigerian children. Since after the biafran war, things have gone from bad to worst. Corruption has eaten deep into the fabric of our nationhood.
Do not believe their sugar coated tongues of deception, everything they will tell you today, they told us yester-years.
What I will advice you is enjoy your children’s day celebration, make it memorable and make your childhood worth remembering, because when I was a child my children’s day celebration was always awesome, though we didn’t have all we needed (financially) but I enjoyed every bit of my childhood.
My father never took either of us to any park or garden to celebrate like other kids, but the fun I had with other children in the same class with me was beyond words.
See children,  we need a total re-orientation in this country of ours, I tell you a story,
Ronald Reagan was America’s president in 1981,before he became president, Obasanjo was already a military head of state in Nigeria in 1979,Ronald Reagan left the white house in 1989 and since after that time before his death in 2005, he was never seen vying for any political position in America, unlike our own Obasanjo, after his military carrier, he retired and contested in 1999, he was elected first democratic president and he serve two terms which is eight years, but when it was time for him to bow out respectfully, he was canvassing for a third term, unfortunately for him, but fortunately for our democracy, members of the national assembly and other well meaning Nigerians opposed him and when he discovered he was standing alone, he bowed out shamefully.
Now my point here is that our leaders are selfish, wicked and self-centred, they don’t have the interest of the people at heart, they just want to pocket all of our oil money.
Our leaders are terribly sick and needs medication from the best doctors in the world,
They are sick mentally, morally, spiritually, physically and other wise.
Since after independence, same politicians have been recycling themselves with different   political party, different political attire but with same political mindset and ideology, their primary intention is getting to the office, and sit on public funds. They change the bottles every now and then, but they don’t improve the content and that leaves us where we are today (corruption island)

God bless you children as we celebrate all of you today, please always be focused, work hard, listen to your parents and be positive in all your do.
God bless your dreams and aspirations,i hope and pray that before you get to my age things will get better, so you guys wont suffer what the children of my generation are suffering today.

FROM A MOTHER TO A NASTY SON

Dear son,
How are you today?
(if you don’t mind and if you aren’t too busy, there are some things I want to talk to you about)
I heard you slapped the gate man yesterday,
I’m still wondering your motive behind that,
What prompted that action?
Nna,
You have become too ridiculous lately,
how come you find it difficult to exhibit kindness?
Mrs Uwamamaka called to tell me last week that you retired her with no sensible reason,
how could you have gone that far, without due consultations,
These persons have worked with your father even before your birth.
Listen,  let me tell you, there’s a lot to life than you think.
The amount of wealth you inherit doesn’t give you an extra head over others, it only gives you an extra edge, not to the detriment of those around you; rather, it is for you to affect their lives positively in every way possible.
Life is too short to be unnecessarily extravagant. When your Father was alive, he led a humane life all through his stay on earth.
From helping the helpless in the village, to assisting the needy in the church.
That St. Monica catholic church in the village, few miles before EZE’s kingdom, was single handedly built by your father.
Even the public primary school; he was among the founding fathers and pioneered its construction from start to finish, because he said he wanted people of his hometown to get that formal education he never had.
Words alone cannot describe your father’s humility.
He affected lives in numerous ways, when Mr Nmuoneke fell from the palm-wine tree at his backyard, daddy took responsibility of his medical bills while still in the hospital. Unfortunately he died and your father took responsibility of the bills and all the burial rites.
He spent seventy-two weeks in the hospital, your daddy never missed out one day from visiting him, simply because when your father bought his first car in the seventies after the civil war, he brought a keg of fresh palm-wine to celebrate with your father and that one keg helped your dad in more than one sense, everyone that came to congratulate your dad that day, had a taste of the fresh wine
Since that day, your dad loved him like he was a brother, which he eventually became, because he ran errands for your father, whenever Daddy was out of town.
This made your FATHER  sponsor two of his children from primary SCHOOL to the university level
Let me tell you my son, a single act of kindness can change a person’s life in the same way it will help your emotions too.
A wise man was said  “when you bend down to lift someone from the ground, you can’t help but lift yourself in the process”.
You should always think of measures to contribute your own little quota to helping the world become a better place. According to the word of God, I heard you said there’s no God.
Well, I’m not surprised because that’s what almost everyone that travels abroad say, when they come back
but I will tell you earnestly, there’s God somewhere above all men and I’m sure whatever your belief is,
there’s always a moral lesson to learn from every religion.
Only a fool says there’s no God.
I hope you will let this words make a change in your life, please make me proud.
Be twice as nice and kind as your father.
Live to be remembered for good and remember daddy used to quote these African proverbs every day before death came
”those who have their palm kernel cracked for them by the benevolent spirits should not laugh at the misfortune of others”
It was not by your making that you were born into a rich and famous family, it was by God’s divine making. So don’t let pride bring you down.
I’m running out on call units, I will call you tomorrow (hopefully), the doctor said I will be discharged soon, so I hope to come back to Nigeria as soon as possible.
Take care of your siblings and be ready to present me a wife, when I come back (laughs)...

REGGY SAID YES TO LARRY

Finding someone to lean on
brings perfect happiness,
understanding that person, perfects all imperfections,
living with that person is sweeter than fresh palm-wine,
Larry meeting Regina is a divine connection,
it is a thing of joy to find a hand to hold,
when the world becomes too cold.

As you both bind, to become one,
let understanding, trust and love be your only third party,
listen not to side talks,
heed not to the words of unfriendly friends,
put heads together and plan forever,
it started with a smile,
traveled through laughter,merriment and happiness,
don't let it end in the pool of bitterness.

Be faithful together,
Be hopeful,
Respectful to each other,
listen very deeply to each other,
even when the sound is inaudible.

play like best friends,
laugh like there's no tears in the world,
AND THE SKY IS THE STARTING POINT TO YOUR MARITAL FULFILLMENT.
