HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY

I have been hearing Children are leaders of
tomorrow, since I was a child and now I'm a
grown man, people who were leaders when I
was a child, are still leaders now that I'm
grown, so I'm wondering when children of
my generation will become Leaders?
Buhari was Nigeria's president as at the time I was born, today he is killing himself to get back to Aso-rock , I'm shaking my head. how are we leaders of tomorrow, when leaders of yesterday are yet to bow out, when they are yet to exit the centre stage, carrying pot bellies here and there, parading stolen funds everywhere they go.
Dear children, please don't believe them when they say you guys are the leaders of tomorrow,
That was the same thing they told me, the generation of my father has killed this country and the dreams of the Nigerian children. Since after the biafran war, things have gone from bad to worst. Corruption has eaten deep into the fabric of our nationhood.
Do not believe their sugar coated tongues of deception, everything they will tell you today, they told us yester-years.
What I will advice you is enjoy your children’s day celebration, make it memorable and make your childhood worth remembering, because when I was a child my children’s day celebration was always awesome, though we didn’t have all we needed (financially) but I enjoyed every bit of my childhood.
My father never took either of us to any park or garden to celebrate like other kids, but the fun I had with other children in the same class with me was beyond words.
See children,  we need a total re-orientation in this country of ours, I tell you a story,
Ronald Reagan was America’s president in 1981,before he became president, Obasanjo was already a military head of state in Nigeria in 1979,Ronald Reagan left the white house in 1989 and since after that time before his death in 2005, he was never seen vying for any political position in America, unlike our own Obasanjo, after his military carrier, he retired and contested in 1999, he was elected first democratic president and he serve two terms which is eight years, but when it was time for him to bow out respectfully, he was canvassing for a third term, unfortunately for him, but fortunately for our democracy, members of the national assembly and other well meaning Nigerians opposed him and when he discovered he was standing alone, he bowed out shamefully.
Now my point here is that our leaders are selfish, wicked and self-centred, they don’t have the interest of the people at heart, they just want to pocket all of our oil money.
Our leaders are terribly sick and needs medication from the best doctors in the world,
They are sick mentally, morally, spiritually, physically and other wise.
Since after independence, same politicians have been recycling themselves with different   political party, different political attire but with same political mindset and ideology, their primary intention is getting to the office, and sit on public funds. They change the bottles every now and then, but they don’t improve the content and that leaves us where we are today (corruption island)

God bless you children as we celebrate all of you today, please always be focused, work hard, listen to your parents and be positive in all your do.
God bless your dreams and aspirations,i hope and pray that before you get to my age things will get better, so you guys wont suffer what the children of my generation are suffering today.
